Treks in the Kumaon

The gentle Himalayas of the Kumaon region are amongst the most picturesque in the country. The modest beauty of the regions such as Almora, Ranikhet and Kausani is reassuring and rejuvenating. Here, giant terraces are flung down high mountains in the green steps of cultivation, destroying  neither the mountaineer nor the greenery.
The most stupendous and well known of the glaciers in Kumaon is Pindari, followed by Kafni, Sunderdhunga and equally well known are Panchachuli, Namik, Milan and Ralam.
NTMC provides safe and comfortable trekking in the below mentioned ranges and more. A group of atleast 10 people are required for the same. We have professionally sound trainers and expedition experts to take care of all your needs.

Panchachuli Glacier – East Face (4260 m.)
Trishul Peak

Situated in the picturesque Darma Valley in the border district of Pithoragarh, this mass of ice originates from the fine snow covered peaks of Panchachuli. The route to the glacier amounts in exotic scenery, snow capped mountains, gushing streams, Alpine meadows and a rich variety of flora and fauna.  From the glacier one can see the Panchachuli peaks in their towering glory. The white peaks of Panchachuli create the unforgettable spectacle of Him Khand, Yuli river skirted by the jungle of Deodar and bhojpatra trees and vast meadows.

The interesting part of this is the trekkers will be sojourning in the traditional houses of the local people and will have a face to face interaction with indigenous culture and local tradition.
